Pakistan Suspend Batsman Under Anti-Corruption Code :Umar Akmal



  • The PCB has not revealed any details of any offence or charge against Umar Akmal.
  • However, the suspension means he will miss the Pakistan Super League. And a franchise Twenty20 tournament which begins in Karachi on Thursday.
  • His place in the Quetta Gladiators squad.
  • Umar Akmal the youngest of three brothers to play for Pakistan at full international level.Made his debut as a teenager in 2009.
  •  And has played in 16 Tests, 121 one-day internationals and 84 T20 internationals.
  • He has been in and out of the side in recent years.  
  • But was recalled in 2019 after a two-year absence.
  •  And last featured in two T20 games against Sri Lanka in October. When he was lbw for a first-ball duck on   both matches.

Bowling action clear after T20 Blast suspension::Muhammad Hafeez

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been cleared to bowl again for England after his action was reported in T20 Blast.  The 39-year-old off-spinner was reported after playing for Middlesex against Somerset at Taunton in August. And Hafeez was subsequently  banned from bowling  after a bowling review group hearing at Lord's criket ground. His action was passed an independent assessment and he can bowl again in all  matches in England. However he does not have a contract with a county for the 2020 season. Hafeez made four T20  matches for Middlesex last summer, taking two wickets and hitting 115 runs, with a highest score of 48.
