پاکستان سپر لیگ میں کوئٹہ گلیڈی ایٹرز اور کراچی کنگز کے درمیان ننیشنل اسٹیڈیم کراچی میں کھیلے گئے میچ میں اسوقت کھیل کچھ دیر کے لیے  شکار رہا جب ڈی آر ایس ٹیکنالوجی نے کام کرنا چھوڑدیا. جس کی وجہ سے ٹی وی امپائر ریویو کے بارے میں کسی فیصلے پر پہنچنے سے قاصر رہے۔
کراچی کنگز کی بیٹنگ کے دوران جب بابراعظم 25 رنز پر کھیل رہے تھے.  احمد نے کیچ کی پر زور اپیل کی جس پر امپائر فیصل آفریدی نے انہیں ناٹ آؤٹ قرار دیا, تاہم سرفراز احمد نے ریویو لینے کا فیصلہ کیا۔ اسوقت حیرت کی انتہا نہ رہی جب ٹی وی امپائر آصف یعقوب فیصلہ دینے میں تاخیر کا شکار رہے۔ پتہ چلا کہ ڈی آر ایس ٹیکنالوجی میں موجود الٹرا ایج سسٹم کام نہیں کررہا ہے۔ اس سسٹم تو نسیم شاہ کی گیند پر سرفرازسے یہ پتہ چلایا جاتا ہے کہ گیند بلے سے            لگی ہے یا نہی.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
کافی دیر تک مختلف زاویوں سے فوٹیج دیکھنے کے بعد ٹی وی امپائر نے فیلڈ امپائر کو مطلع کیا کہ الٹرا ایج سسٹم کام نہیں کررہا ہے .لہذا فیلڈ امپائر نے اپنے ناٹ آؤٹ فیصلے کو برقرار رکھنے کا فیصلہ کیا.                                    اس تمام تر صورتحال میں کپتان سرفراز احمد کافی دیر تک   امپائرسے بات کرتے ہوئے نظر آئے۔ وہ اور کوئٹہ کے دوسرے کھلاڑی اس فیصلے سے خوش نظر 
                                                                     نہیں آرہے تھے
